✨ What Is Faux Stained Glass Art?
Faux stained glass art is a modern, beginner-friendly technique that recreates the beauty of traditional stained-glass windows — without the need for cutting glass or using complicated tools. Instead, artists use a black outline gel to mimic classic lead lines, and fill the spaces with transparent glass paints that create a radiant glow.
When lit from behind, the colours come alive, transforming a simple acrylic panel into a glowing piece of festive art.
This workshop’s theme, “A Christmas Rose of Light & Warmth,” brings together two meaningful elements:

This workshop is led by Sarana Khoo, an experienced art instructor known for her warm, encouraging teaching style.With over 10 years of full-time teaching experience, Sarana has guided thousands of students across Malaysia and internationally.
Her multidisciplinary background — in drawing, colour work, mixed media, Japanese pastel art, and painting therapy — gives her a deep understanding of how light, colour, and emotion interact. She brings this insight into her faux stained glass workshops, helping students transform simple designs into glowing, heartfelt creations.
